On the Mac OS, it gives the option to copy the 2D or 3D structure and neither function to copy an image and paste. My computer does not register that there is an image to paste.

You are right. On the Macintosh and Linux the current clipboard support is limited: The object in the clipboard is an OpenChemLib molecule. You may past it into any OpenChemLib based application (e.g. DataWarrior), but other applications don't know about the format. As a workaround you could make a screenShot of the molecule area, but I agree that the result, a pixel image in screen resolution, is sub-optimal. On Windows DataWarrior uses a dll to also provide a vector image, a ChemDraw molecule and MDL scetch, depending on what the target application knows and prefers.
