Hello,
I just installed Data Warrior on my laptot and when I open it, it is unusable because the add just stays there and impossible to close or do anything. I have to go through the task manager just to close it.
Is there a solution to be able to use it and solving this issue?

messages, which may rarely include an ad, are shown in a dialog that has a close button at the bottom. If you have a very small screen resolution, or if you have set your UI scaling to a rather high value, than you may not see the close button, because the dialog window is larger than your screen. In this case you have two options:
- Reduce you UI-scaling factor. In Windows this is, depending on the Windows version, somewhere in the Control Panel -> Displays ... After reducing the scaling factor, start DataWarrior again and close the add. DataWarrior should automatically update to a newer version. In newer versions than 6.1.0 you can close such windows with the close button, but also by pressing the ESC-key. Then the problem disappears.
- If this doesn't work, than you have this alternative: Update DataWarrior manually by downloading a newer version using this link:
openmolecules.org/datawarrior/update/datawarrior_v06.04.01.j ar. (remove space that the stupid forum software puts into the path)
Then, depending on your operating system, put the downloaded jar-file into the following directory (if the directory doesn't exist, create it):
On Windows: C:\\ProgramData\DataWarrior\ (make sure that the file is not locked using right mouse key -> Properties)
On Linux: /opt/datawarrior/update/
On Macintosh: /Applications/DataWarrior.app/Contents/Java/update/
When you start DataWarrior the usual way, then it should find and use the update. The About window should say 'v06.04.01' and you should be able to press 'ESC' to close message and ad windows
