sorry for the late answer. I believe that we could find an working solution rather quickly, if we more closely communicate. I need to understand your environment better, e.g. need of desktop file integration. You should do some testing and I might need to supply quick updates for you to test if something is not working. But I am confident that the combination of using 'rootpath' launching the datawarrior update file (currently 6.3.1) directly rather than using the launcher, which came with 6.1.0, should give us enough flexibility for a fast solution.
