Copy & Paste Between Sheets [message #1310]

I am unable to copy a set of rows from one sheet into another sheet.

I select the desired rows and then do Edit->Copy; Edit->Pase, which in the paste has created a new sheet and paste the desired rows into it. However, now it attempts to do this, but simply locks up.

I tried to do that with some rows containing structures and other data on Linux and on Windows,
which worked well in both cases. On which OS are you working and which version do you use?
Can you start from the command line and see, whether you get any error message?
Do you have the problem with any copy/paste or does it work for e.g. text data without structures/reactions?
Can you copy some cell's text and paste into a text editor? Can you copy from spreadsheet and paste into DataWarrior?

I'm running DW 5.5.0 on CentOS Linux release 7.9.2009 (Core).

When I do the cut and past, it does give an error at the terminal:

java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 1

at com.actelion.research.table.CompoundTableLoader.processLines (CompoundTableLoader.java:937)

at com.actelion.research.table.CompoundTableLoader.readData(Com poundTableLoader.java:2118)
at com.actelion.research.table.CompoundTableLoader.run(Compound TableLoader.java:2068)
at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:748)

Hmmm ... looks like a java issue -- please advise.

openjdk version "1.8.0_292"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_292-b10)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.292-b10, mixed mode)

sorry for the late reply. I have been in vacation.

I have tried copying with version 5.5.0 and could not reproduce.
I checked the error message and found that there was a fix of a related problem in April.

I suggest that you download the current development update from https://openmolecules.org/datawarrior/dw550x.zip, unpack it and replace /opt/datawarrior/datawarrior.jar with the new one from the archive.
I assume that the problem is solved then. If not, please send me a small file and instructions what to select, copy, paste to reproduce.
