Hello. I'm having trouble doing a simple calculation withing DW. I want to multiply my IC50s by 1000 to convert from micro to nanomolar. When I input "NormalizedULK1IC50s*1000" where the first part was input using the "Add Variable" button within the normal dialog box, it output the same "NaN" value for every cell, rather than the numerical value.

Perhaps my syntax was off?

Hi, your syntax is perfect. I just tried on my Linux installation, with a column named "Normalized ULK1 IC50s" and with
your exact syntax, which worked well. Which platform do you use (Mac, Linux, Win32 or Win64 and which JRE)? I will then
retry under similar conditions. Thomas

Hi Thomas. I use Windows 7, 64 bit. I have the most recent version of the DW software (64 bit) and also have 64 bit Java installed. I included a screen shot of the column and formula.

Since having this issue, I've been able to perform a -log(variable) calculation on another column successfully. Not sure what the issue was previously. I got around the issue by doing the calculation within Excel first, then merging the data.

I could not reproduce the issue. If you have it again, could you please send me a small file. I assume that there were some strange characters in the original cells. Thanks in advance, Thomas
