Hello,
I recently tried to upgrade to the 4.1.1 Linux version of DataWarrior, but after removing the 3.12.1 version and installing the new version, I still see the update notice on startup and the splash screen says v3.12.1

How do I get rid of the old version and load the new one? Is there an 'uninstall.sh' script? I am running LinuxMint 16

Thanks for a great program!

OK, answering my own question... after more careful reading I see what's up. I forgot that the install was put in /opt as root, Embarrassed so first remove the old version with sudo, then run the new 4.1.1 script (with sudo). Everything works... cool

Thanks for a great program!

A de-installation should not be necessary, because the installer just overrides the old files.
As you say, it is important to use root rights, i.e. either login as root, or use sudo...
