Hi Thomas,

stupid question: I just downloaded the linux version 5.2.1. (datawarrior521_linux) If I install it, the Version 5.0.0. gets installed.

I know that you implemented an MS SQL driver. Strange part: This MS SQL part is included in the package (mssql.jar), but it is not included in the installed version.

Can you help

Achim

Hi Achim,

I have no explanation for that. I just checked the linux download link. I downloaded a file called datawarrior521_linux.tar.gz with an md5sum 51f23a28d36c6983a2b443c5dddb2900. When I open it, it contains a datawarrior.jar (md5sum cbf9ae747f764b31462ef34d10bef0b1). When I use this jar on my linux computer, it says version 5.2.1 in the about.

I assume that still have the old version installed and your install.sh is not running for some reason, either executable flag not set or not using sudo. Can you check for that? If this is not the problem, can you check the date and possibly the md5sum of your installed datawarrior.jar?

Best wishes, Thomas

Thanks Thomas, solved. And do not know how, but solved. I run the uninstall from the /opt/datawarrior directory, downloaded the file again, wiped download directory and now it is working. Do not ask me why this worked. I 100% pro installed from the unpacked 5.2.1 directory and cleaned the old version.
